Common questions

What people ask before dropping a PDF.

What apps can open the converted file?
The output is a standard ChordPro (.chordpro) file. SongbookPro, OnSong, OpenSong, MobileSheets, ChordPro Songbook, and most other chord-chart apps import it directly. SongbookPro also accepts a ZIP bundle of .chordpro files, which is what the “Download all” button produces.
Which PDFs does this work with?
The parser is tuned for chord-chart PDFs exported from WorshipOnline.com. Other text-based chord-chart PDFs may work too — the converter detects chord glyphs by font and preserves their position over each syllable — but the layout heuristics are calibrated against WorshipOnline. Image-based scans aren't supported.
Are chord positions preserved exactly?
Yes — that's the whole point. Every [G] lands on the syllable where it started in the original chart. Once you import into SongbookPro or OnSong you can transpose, edit, and reflow without losing timing.
Where do my PDFs go?
PDFs are uploaded directly to the converter for parsing and are not stored. Only an anonymous count of total conversions is kept (the live counter on the home screen). Your files and the converted output stay between your browser and the server for the lifetime of the request.
Are there any limits?
Up to 5 PDFs per upload, 10 MB per file, with light per-IP rate limiting. That's enough for a worship set in a single drop. If you need more, drop another batch.
